The Ganymede was one of the free plans that you got with the Model Rocket News (MRN). This is the Estes Industries Rocket Plan (EIRP) No. 59, as seen in MRN Vol 9, No. 9.
These plans can be seen at: http://www.dars.org/jimz/eirp.htm
This was given to me by the same fellow who gave me the Saturn V. He said it was one of his first “scratch built” projects, and that it really flew well. Sadly, over the years it lost part of the fin, thus needing repair.
For me, this is an honour, not only to own it, but to be able to repair it. I have downloaded the assembly plans for this, and look forward to begin repair work soon. I am also planning on restoring the paint job too.
In the future, I plan on upscaling this to use the body and nose cone from an Astrosat. I am still toying with this idea though....
